Social Pro for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail & Google+ App Reviews

Hey, thanks for the updating! I have one suggestion: what about "attachment" on gmail? I use Social Pro for eveything on social media, but when it comes to attach something through e-mail, I always need to open my browser to do it… =/ I think this would be the last step to be the best app ever! that sound is annoying and should have options to change it for each individual program! for example i do not want a notification every time one of my 300 people i follow on twitter that is mainly why its annoying me! there should be alternate options to change it to individual actions within a program! that is the only thing wrong with it!!!!

Great app. The only complaint from the previous version has been addressed. You can now turn of the sound notification on incoming tweets. I have been waiting for an app that integrated the top social networking sites and this app does it beautifully.

This is exactly what I needed, Thanks ! The only thing I found out (being a multiple gmail account user including an app account ect ect….) is that if Im in a browser opening a different gmail account than my main one, your app signs me out of my main account and logs me in that second account I just opened !!! I havent thoroughly tested it yet, but I will open like several different gmail accounts on several browsers and see what happens…loll Idealy, the App should stay on the main account I have set up for it….I think that would be more practical dont you think ? BabaOo

With the new update facebook chat doesnt load anymore. And thats all I use it for. Gotta fix that.

This is the best social networking client for mac. It has the same interface as all the other ones but the thing about this one is that it has Facebook, twitter, google+, Gmail, Google talk and Facebook chat. It is a must have so buy it now!

Almost everything works really well and I use it all the time. Theres just one thing that doesnt work. After restarting my Mac, Google Talk is blank. I have to keep going into the Preferences to disable and re-enable Google Talk to fix it. Please fix this! Thanks

Hi folks, this is a great application that does everything you would ever want out of a social application. You can have instant access to all your favourite social applications (fb, twitter, g+, gmail, Gvoice if available where you live/Jabber), right at the click of your mouse. The only downside is the chaotic nature of %CPU that is used, when it is running. Often this can be as low as 1% but jump as high as 95% when there are many tweets coming through. Thus in its current version it is not ideal for someone who gets tweets at more than 1 every 10 to 20 minutes as it can potentially freeze up your computer. Catchya later.

Its a mobile web browser and supports nearly nothing.

Please have notifications show up in notification center in next update. Great otherwise! Love the fact that I can get everything in a single click and dont have to open safari! Maybe add instagram too?

I would like the app, but had to disable it as it was chewing through my bandwidth. Since we live in the countrly, our ISP is not as fast as those in the city. If the app is updated with a bandwidth management option, or a smart bandwidth algorithm, I will reconsider using it again. Application creators must remember that the users are not all going to have super fast internet access, and need to tailor their designs accordingly.

The title says it all. Reported to the developer and asked for help, but no reply was forthcoming. On Lion, stay away.

ITA: Abbastanza buona, ma non sufficiente. Perde continuamente laccount di twitter, ogni tot di tempo devo rifare il login di twitter. Non so in quale maniera, ma laccount di facebook è connesso in qualche modo con safari, sul mio macbook pro utilizziamo sia safari che firefox, con safari viene aperto un account di facebook, con firefox un altro account, quando entro su facebook facendo il login tramite Social Pro, viene caricato sempre laccount attivo su safari, anche se faccio il login utilizzando le credenziali per laccount che viene usato con firefox. Quindi io posso usare qualsiasi username e password, ma verrà sempre caricato laccount presente su safari! Stranissimo! Cè qualcosa che non va in questapplicazione! ENG: Almost good, but not perfect ad flawlessy working. It continously lost the twitter account, ive to re-log after some time, ever. Then i dont know how, but seems thats the facebook account is connected in a someway with safari, on my macbook pro we use both safari and firefox, with safari we log with a facebook account, with firefox we log to another facebook account, and when i try to log to facebook with Social Pro, it will always loaded the account thats on Safari, also if i use the user and pass used to log to the other account usually used with firefox. So, i can use any username and password, but i will always log to the account loaded in Safari! Weird! Theres something wrong in this app!

It is a great work to have an application that have facebook, twitter, and gmail together. I suggest that you add Google+ to the application. Thank you Murtadha A. Altaweel

Over all the app does what it says. I am not going to grip too much because for the price I think you get a lot. I think I could have stayed with the free version. I tried out google chat and just didnt seem to like it as much as using another chat program that I have. You can access email quickly and reply quickly if needed. I dont really care for the FB navigation. The app doesnt always alert new messages like it should but works most of the the time. One of the annoyances that I have is when opening the window, if a new alert comes in for either FB or Gmail the window will close. Very frustrating when that does happen. It doesnt render the app useless but if you get a lot of messages it could become a problem. I think the app is on the right track but just needs some clean up around the functionality a bit.

I think this app is great, fantastic, magnifico. Now that I am using Google+, I would like to see it integrated rather than my Gmail. I have mail for that. . .

I use this at work and at home on two separate iMacs, I see it crashing on both. Ive tried reinstalling it too, its just unstable. I use gmail a lot and with multiple accounts between multiple users, my fiance uses Chrome, I use Social Pro. But I make myself put up with a LOT of caveats that I shouldnt have to. 1. Crashing. Like at least once a week, and when it does, I lose my draft which has been a real pain on occasion. 2. Its the mobile interface for Gmail. It looks and walks and talks like the mobile Gmail interface, and for that reason alone, I get really irate when I want to use some features of gmail on my desktop. Its a mail client you sold me, I should be able to do attachments or paste images inline into my emails. I really dont like that I cant here. 3. Needs customizable support for different features... I realize that Im paying for a social toy-box, but I dont use this application for Facebook. Id like it to not show up at the top tab. Itd be nice to turn off or add new features to keep some value with this. I realize no one uses MySpace, but seriously... Google + isnt here. It should be or at least be updateable to have whatever features we do and do not want to use. Also, Id love to see some Google Reader and Tumblr love. I share stories and read stuff from both of those and neither one is anywhere to be found.

I really want to LOVE this app-- it do LIKE it; however its got a pretty serious bug that others here have mentioned: when youre typing in a text field, and you get a new message, the window refreshes and you LOSE what youve been typing! AAAA! Very frustrating! Maybe the developer could stall checking for updates while the user is typing in a text field… But I love the concept! Keep up the good work!

it wasnt very handy... the idea is cool... but when i wanted to use it, it never served the my needs... w/e i deleted it...
